AG Carlisle Corp., an online start-up based out of London, is looking to hire JD or LLM-trained research assistants to spend between 2 and 6 months in London. The company is developing a legal research-based business model and needs students to find and verify legislation pertaining to specific industries in various countries. Researchers will also be required to interact with governments and law firms to obtain certain information. All work will be supervised by an attorney.
The office is on Oxford Street and can accommodate up to 4-5 researchers. The base salary is £300/week, and researchers will have the opportunity to earn £1,000 or more in addition for overtime and dedicated effort. The company is interested in finding students for a 4-6 month contract (but can be flexible on shorter periods, such as a 2-month summer contract). The job can begin/extend anytime from April 14 to October 31.
The candidate should have good grades, references, and be comfortable interacting with people. Research experience in the fields of banking, insurance, telecommunications, natural resources, and/or copyright law would be valued but are not necessary. Language skills such as French, Spanish, and Russian would be an asset.
